The Most Important Meal of the Day!

BREAKFAST

Your body needs energy so you can train hard and perform to your best capabilities mental, emotionally, and physically during the day. Studies show that individuals who consume breakfast in the morning are more likely to make healthier eating choices throughout the day. People will likely experience weight loss over time, as well as improve their mental and physical performance.  Fuel your body for success!

Egg, Spinach, Zucchini
Breakfast Skillet

Ingredients:

​

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cup shredded zucchini (about 1 small)

2 cups hash browns or shredded potatoes

1/2 cup chopped ham

1/2 cup spinach

1/4 cup mushroom (optional)

1/4 cup bell pepper (optional)

4 large eggs

oregano and pepper

1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Directions:

​

  1. Begin with olive oil in large-sized skillit. Once hot, cook the hashbrowns until golden brown or desired consistency. Let cook for at least 8 minutes.

  2. Use a box grater to grate the zucchini. Chop or dice bell pepper and tomato. Stir together all the veggies.

  3. Add the zucchini mixture and season the vegetables with a pinch of pepper and oregano.

  4. Add the ham. Let the mixture cook for 3-4 minutes without stirring so the vegetables start to brown a bit. Add spinach last. 

  5. Stir vegetables and continue to cook until they are crispy in parts around the edges.

  6. Make four holes in the zucchini mixture for eggs. Crack in the eggs and sprinkle parmesan cheese over the whole skillet.

  7. Enjoy! 

Overnight Oats

Step One: Fill up 1/2 bowl with "Quick Oats" oatmeal

Step Two: Add your favorite protein powder

​

Step Three: Add your blueberries, raspberries, bananas, peaches AND/ OR apples

​

Step Four: Add Almond Milk, stir thoroughly to mix in the protein powder

​

Step Five: Top with nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans,etc) and flax or chia seeds, cinnamon is also a flavorful spice full of antioxidants

​

(Spice up the fruit and nuts daily to keep your taste buds satisfied. Some flavorful combo ideas: Apples and Cinnamon, Peach Brown Sugar, Strawberry Banana, Blueberry Raspbery with a hint of Dark Chocolate Granola)

Pancakes

Ingredients:

​

  • 3/4 cup sweet potato puree

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil

  • 3/4 cup almond milk

  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 1/2 cups oat flour or gluten-free flour

  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

Instructions:

  • Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth, (about 30 seconds to one minute)

  • Cook pancakes on medium heat, flipping after 30 seconds to one minute
